Supposedly a great red dragon plagued this area a long time ago. Numerous knights challenged it, but all were roasted in the furnace of the dragonbreath. Then one day the fabled knight of the square table Sir Gilgamelot arrived. For a whole week he spied on the dragon, watching it fly, hunt and sleep. Then one night, as the moon was hidden behind a dark cloud, and the stars were dimmer than usual because of some fog, he sneaked upon the lair of the beast, just to see a frail figure entering it. Gilgamelot stopped in his tracks, confused by this. Had the dragon changed its shape? Had some local peasant wandered into the cave by mistake? Just as our friend started to walk towards the cave again, a bright light and a loud explosion came from the cave entrance. Gilgamelot ran towards it. From the darkness came a man, cloaked in dark, carrying a long staff of gnarled wood. 'Hi', a rusty voice said from the dark of the cowl. Gilgamet didn't even try to say anything. The dark robed one walked into the night. In the cave, the dragon was very dead, all pieces of it. Gilgamet put his foot upon the head and smiled. Another mission well done. Later, the cave was filled with toxic waste (byeffect of magical research nearby), and plugged with solid granite. The inn was built in front of the old entrance. -- | Magnus Alvestad | I am a prolog program. I get all my opinions | ip208@brems.ii.uib.no | from a small organization in Birmingham.
