Nishi says, 'I shall not grieve that other people do not recognize my merits.  I
am anxious only that I should fail to recognize yours.  I thank you for your
offer of the seat.  However, I am not tired, for I have meditated . . . quite
recently.'

'I do wish you would refrain from consuming THAT beverage.
The imbibition of alcoholic beverages tends to distort one's
personality and judgement.  I do wish that fewer personae indulged in that.  It
is so much more restful to consume a good ginseng and pekoe.'
