When the buttermilk and mead arrive, Cromwell snags a bowl of fried potatoes.
After Caezar finishes his question Cromwell replies, "I would be most
apprieciative if you would finish the background for me, for you certainly know
it much better than myself. It is your world after all."

After the Shrouded Lady looks at Wilson with the piercing glance Wilson
scurries back into Cromwell's sleeve. "Please milady, don't do that to poor
Wilson. He frightens very easily, and it is going to take at least ten minutes
to get him back out, even with the buttermilk."

As the Captain leaves the inn, Cromwell is heard to mutter "Poor man, to be so
uninspired as to think knowledge is not worth dying for. Gold can be got
anywhere, and in some places is near worthless, but knowledge is always
valuble." Cromwell strokes his burned face with a hand and goes back to
coaxing Wilson out, this time with a fry.
