Newsgroups: alt.pub.dragons-inn From: rigler@galileo.ifa.hawaii.edu (Michael Rigler) Subject: THK (encased in ice): slips down the wall a bit Message-ID: <1992May21.222258.1659@news.Hawaii.Edu> Date: Thu, 21 May 1992 22:22:58 GMT Several hours have passed. Many of the Inn's patrons, though engaged in heated conversations, have cast wary glances at the cracked, larger-than-humanoid-sized block of ice that leans against an unnocupied section of the Inn wall, popping and crackling as it thaws. (The side of the Inn where the ice block rests is noticeably cooler than the area near the fireplace. Brr-rrr-rrr!) The block of ice just sits there, glistening, as rivulets of water stream down its surface, to feed the ever-expanding puddle of water at its base. From certain angles, when the lighting is just right, nearby patrons can glimpse a greenish-humanoid form inside, and the glint of metal. Suddenly, the muted hum of conversation is interrupted by a horrible sound reminiscent of fingernails on a chalkboard: S-KREE-AAAK!!! (The block of ice has slid down the wall a bit, and now lies at a rougly 60 degree angle w.r.t. the floor). The patrons return to their conversations... -- Rigler (aka 'Thk') --
