Newsgroups: alt.pub.dragons-inn From: mgcaa@uxa.ecn.bgu.edu Subject: [Rowan] in pub: speaks to ghostly figure Message-ID: <1992May27.193209.10844@uxa.ecn.bgu.edu> Date: Wed, 27 May 1992 19:32:09 GMT Rowan [the bard] moves away from the door of the inn. She decides to sit down for a moment and have something to drink, to sooth her throat. She asks Serene if she could bring her something when she has a free moment. As Rowan is glancing around the room to see who remains, she fails to see or hear the man approach her: >He walks carefully and quietly from the bar toward Rowan's table. As he >reaches it, he bows gracefully to her and indicates the empty chair >opposite >her. >"May I?" he asks. She turns to him, startled. This was the man she had noticed at the bar earlier in the evening. She had thought, at the time, that he looked familiar to her. Now she wasn't so sure. "Oh...," she replied, hesitantly, "yes, yes of course. I thought...I mean, you....I didn't see you there." She bites her lower lip, and is silent. She tries to smile.
