Subject: Chronos Enters the Inn...

A man, obviously a mage of some sort, clad in dark grey robes enters the inn.
A reddish lizard (firedrake) sits upon his shoulder glancing around the room
nervously.  Some people turn to stare at the newcomer but see merely the lower
half of his face and the chin.  He is of medium build with an air of secrecy
surrounding him.  He takes a seat in a dark corner near the fireplace.  The
flicker of the flames cast an ominous shadow across his figure as his familiar
breathes a small flame to light the mage's pipe.  A waitress quietly asks for
his order, then brings him a drink.  He sets a few silver pieces onto the table
and asks for a room.  She nods and moves off to talk to the barkeep.  Chronos
(the mage) notices the statues moving towards the old sage and tenses, at the
same time motioning for his familiar (Syndilar) to remain on his shoulder.
His hands are already moving and his lips move in preparing a spell....
