Character's involved: Anyone on *Morning's Breeze*

As soon as Barnacle Bill had come back with the group from the docks, Captain
ordered the lines cut and the large square mainsail was raised. The
crew raced around the boat securing the long oars which had been used
to make the trip up from Specifica. As the ship caught the wind and
started to draw away from the dock it was woefully clear that the
Slaver's ship would easily outdistance them.

Captain manuevered the ship into the center of the river and tried to
take advantage of the occasional puffs of wind which gusted down the
river. Almost as soon as it happened, the Captain saw the slack in
the Slaver's sail and knew he had a chance.

"Bill, climb up to the crow's nest and keep us appraised of
the deep water."

Captain barked out other orders as the ship started to settle
down and the rushed start fell into the normal rythms (sp?) of
shipboard life. A quick look at some of the fighters on board his
ship showed a diverse group most of whom seemed more comfortable on
land.

"We've got 'nother ship coming at the Slaver from port!" came
a booming cry from the crow's nest. Captain resolved to approach the
slaver from the starboard stern and brought the ships course around
accordingly. Though Captain was no expert in naval warfare he came to
the realization that it was going to be quite difficult and dangerous
to board the slaver's vessel. He trusted that the adventurerers new
more and relied on them to figure out how to tie up to the Slaver
vessel.

As arrows started to fly towards the ship, Captain called the
man who looked like a cat to his side. "If those slavers have any
brains at all, the next volley of arrows will come at the sails.
After that, we'll have to move on momentum and they will try to burn
the ship. Set up a small group to put out fires and prepare some fire
arrows of your own -- unless you want that fine fur coat singed!"

The boats closed and arrows flew from the naval vessel
shredding the Slaver's sails. A return volley seemed to be taking its
toll, but fortunatly for *Morning's Breeze* the slaver's didn't seem
to care that their stern was exposed. Minutes after the other boats
had engaged, *Morning's Breeze* pulled astern of the Slaver's and a
flurry of activity began...
