Message-ID: <1992Jun2.211340.23683@sequent.com> Keywords: Captain, Kron Date: Tue, 2 Jun 92 21:13:40 GMT [ADMIN: Sorry it took me so long to catch up on the timeline, but I was away this weekend -- and sooo many posts!] With a loud BOOM! the starbard side of the *Morning Breeze's* bow smacked against the _BroadMarch_. The fight on board the slaver's ship was coming to a close and tongues of flame were licking the air all around the ship. Captain called his men to their oars and Bill called out a cadence to draw the two ships apart. As the ships began to seperate, the anchor line, still attached to the rail of the _Broadmarch_ drew taught and brought the two boats together again. In the long run this was fortunate as men from both sides of the fight started to boil off the ship and a large group of wounded were off-loaded onto the *Morning Breeze*. The cat-man, Mishtak, was one of the last aboard. He swung his ever changing weapon down on the anchor line and seperated the two ships. *Morning Breeze* pullead away from the slaver ship as a loud explosion erupted from its lower decks. The _BroadMarch_ quivered and started to seperateinto two pieces. Someone in the boat called out that there were men overboard. Bringing the ship around in a quick jibe, a rescue was effected and the two men in the water were brought aboard. It was quite a picture to see the handsome axe man lying on deck next to the scarred and battered dwarf who still sported chain "bracelets". The healer, Tvarne, went about the boat looking after those who had injuries and helping to calm those who had simply been frightened by their close brush with death. As the *Morning Breeze* came around to head back to the docks, all that could be seen of the slaver's ship was flotsam. The *Morning Breeze* limped home with her sails cut to nothing and her starbard bow leaking like crazy. When the *Morning Breeze* put into port, the adventurers quickly scurried away while Captain was busy putting some tar patch on the hole in the bow. It wasn't long before Captain realized that the group of adventurers and the captain of the watch in particular had left before arrangements could be made to cover the costs of repairs. Captain was a shrewd man and knew where this type could be found. As soon as he was able, Captain gathered together both Cookie (the cook) and Barnacle Bill (the first mate) for a trip to the Dragon's Inn... The square in front of the Inn was remarkably quiet and the Inn itself seemed to be a tad too silent. Captain could pick out the captain of the watch, Kron, standing in the doorway. "Hey Kron, you and I have some business to attend to..." Captain began as he walked into the Inn, and absent-mindedly flipped the cloak he had carried from *Mornings Breeze* to ...sage who was sitting by the fire. -- Captain
