"Oh, the book," the Sage looks forlornly down at the tattered mess that was once a book from the royal chambers, "well, the book was a front. It was merely another book on the theory of magic, no real content. "anyway, at one stage I was looking over the edge of the book at something else, when I looked down I noticed that the back binding was thicker than the front. Upon closer inspection I realised it was two layers of binding board instead of one! The Sage picks up the back half of the tattered book and points out the simple trick of concealment. "As you can see, it is just the right size to hold a scroll that has been folded up..." the Sage inserts his fingers into the gap and runs them back and forth to emphasise the point. "Anyway, from what I could gather from the scroll, it wasn't magical... However a symbol was placed on it to protect it from something or someone. Although I only had a glimpse, It appeared to be a map of a distant part of Generica..." The Sage looks vainly around the tavern floor for any trace of the incinerated scroll, gives up, and returns to his drink (still untouched). -- ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ ___ / /__/ /_ /__ /__/ / _ /_ | EMAIL : c8929469@wombat.newcastle.edu.au / / / /__ ___/ / / /__/ /__ | or : c8929469@cc.newcastle.edu.au
