I was told that it did not however.] [Admin: as this is my first post to this group I would appreciate any comments, input, suggestions, etc. about this article] Character's involved: Brycur and Captain >Captain immediatly recognized the banter of trade as beginning and jumped >in, "I think you, sir, are mistaken. As I recall, you tried to pawn off >three week old oranges that had shriveled to nothing. Whats more, these >must have been the most expensive oranges in all of Generica. The more I >think about it, you really tried to send my poor sailors to an early grave! >Why, if we hadn't happened upon an honest merchant two days out, my boys >would have been in bad shape -- and to think you mention something as >trivial as that tiny little emerald." > >After digging into his pouch, Captain managed to produce a shiny green >emerald and covertly passed it over to the smiling Brycur... > >-- Captain Brycur quickly slips the emerald into a pouch on his belt and ties it tight ly, knowing all too well some of the types that can be found in Low City. He then looks at Captain and says, "I'm sure that the purpose of your visit to the Bazaar is not solely to settle old debts. So what is it that you are needing?" Captain replies with a slight grin on his face, "I'll be needing some supplies for my ship as I will be leaving on a voyage very soon. Food and standard fare." "Well, I believe I can help you out then . . . for the right price of course." Captain's grin widens and he lets off a slight chuckle "Of course." "Just give me a list of things that you need and where you want them delivered, and how much you want to be spending and we'll discuss what you can get." After the bargaining is complete Brycur makes a brief excursion to his stock-house, deep within Low City. After giving the order to his workmen and starting to pack goods for delivery Brycur determines that is time for a break. He heads to the Dragon Inn for a mug of ale and possibly a song from Listener. He walks into the inn and orders a mug of Rowan's finest ale (feeling particularly wealthy because of the emerald he was just given). He sits alone ata table and briefly examines his newest treasure. Not too great of a treasure, but it pleases him for a time. He then sits back with his ale and scans the inn to see what type of mischief he can get himself into next. [Admin - anyone who's got something going on via the Inn and needs some people let me know. I'll be happy to get involved.] -Brycur patchman@wpi.wpi.edu
