References: <1992Jun17.202046.13845@ulowell.ulowell.edu> ADMIN: To surmise what just happened, we were all killed by the 9 foot tall green-tenticled monster "Overlord". NOT! :-) Luthor, after listening to Brycur and STILL waiting for the merchant Lampblack to join him at his table, casts the spell "Complete Delusions of Grandeur" on a new patron of the inn who (obviously) had the delusions already. The result was a small meek looking man with a twisted look on his face coming into the bar, ranting,,raving and laughing histerically while slamming his fists into tables. In the end, he looks around the room, not seeing the large crowd of the inn looking back at him in disbelief and leaves. "What was that all about?" is the common phrase that seems to shoot back and forth across the room. "Looks like another poor soul lost to the drug Krrf," responds Luthor as he gets up to help the Listener replace the recently moved funature. He then reseats himself and continues his conversation with Brycur. ADMIN: Looks like we just had a scrape with someone who doesn't quite understand the way things work around here. The events of the Overlord story could not have happened for several reasons. The most obvious is that the Listener would have immediately started playing his "anti-violence" song and the overlord would have calmed down. Secondly, many of the patrons would have been able to teleport out of the inn at the first sign of trouble. Thirdly, some of the "people" here, namely the vampires, would not have died. Fourth, I'm sure that the patrons, with their combined strength/power could have beaten the Overlord. So there you have it. :-) Love and Peace and Pacifism, -The Dreamer-
