Newsgroups: alt.pub.dragons-inn From: pope@physics.su.OZ.AU (The Nightstalker) Subject: The Nightstalker departs Message-ID: <1992Jun22.021025.2894@ucc.su.OZ.AU> Date: Mon, 22 Jun 1992 02:10:25 GMT The Inn as always is busy, bussling with throngs of people going about their daily buisness. Outside the marketplace is full of all sorts of hawkers, selling wares from many lands. From this pandemonium into the inn walks an elf dressed in green (how original). His garments are finely sown, and he smells strongly, not of the city and its odours, but of the forest with all its sweet and natural aromas. This four foot tall forest denizen surveys the members of the inn for a moment, and then walks towards the bar and addresses Littlefair directly. "I have come for our friend", he says. "Could you summon him for me most gracious host." "Indeed most gracious guest", returns Littlefair. "I am your most humble servant." Littlefair is most adept at Elven pleasantries and formality. He disappears upstairs, and soon returns with The Nightstalker, who carefully and deliberately makes his way down the stairs. He seems to be very tender. The elf and The Nightstalker greet each other, and begin to make their way to the door. "Enjoy your holiday friend", calls out Rowan to the departing company. "Thanks friend", replies The Nightstalker. "It will be good to be away from the city for a time. Fare thee well patrons. I will return in time, with perhaps the offer of adventure when I more dispossed to such things." With this they leave. -- The Nightstalker.....
