Newsgroups: alt.pub.dragons-inn From: kring@efes.physik.uni-kl.de (Thomas Kettenring) Subject: what Bakr did in the past few days Message-ID: <1992Jun26.125048.4459@rhrk.uni-kl.de> Date: Fri, 26 Jun 1992 12:50:48 GMT After sitting in the Inn for a night, most of the time sleeping by the fire, Bakr decided that the Oracle (who had told him to contact a tall cloaked person in the Inn) had probably taken him in, as it (or he, or she?) had a reputation for doing that. He took a room in the Inn and tried to earn a bit of money by hunting. His hunting method was a bit unorthodox: he forced his will upon the animal, then sat on it or put it in his rucksack, according to size (he could hunt only animals small enough to be carried or animals large enough to carry him, because he couldn't act himself and make the animal act at the same time). So one carried the other to the city, where Bakr sold his prey to Maurin, the owner of the pet shop, or Gark, the butcher. He liked the job, especially being carried around. In the evening he used to sit at the bar in Dragons Inn, listening to tales. (Bakr ibn Ja'far ibn Musa al Mekneshi, apprentice mage.)
