That was when he saw a pair of red eyes through the mob. They were magical eyes, mysterious eyes, eyes that you could stare at all day and all night and not get bored... "Oops, sorry Luthor, I thought you were part of the mob," Kadrys said while breaking his hold on Luthor and melting into the shadows. Luthor stepped out of his confusion and continued his work disabling the crowd. After a while, when his muscles ached, the doors to the inn opened again and out came the one who called himself "Fire Cat" (although he would always be 'Old Goat' to Luthor :-). Soon he found out why. The short man (3 feet tall) turned into a flaming cat which was about 4 feet at the shoulder. 'Quite the improvement,' thought Luthor while making his way back toward the inn. He managed to take out a few more rioters before reaching the point of total exhaustion. Before going back inside, he heard some of the people in the crowd say that they were going to the Merchant's Section of the city to 'have a little fun with the rich folks'. He had only sworn to protect the inn, so his duty was done for today. Inside the bar room, the owners and help were rushing back and forth serving the people who had defended the inn and tending to their wounds. Luthor sat down next to Brycur at his table and motioned for the bar maid to bring him something to drink...'Anything wet will do'. "Where is Murell? I have a few things to discuss with him," said Luthor to Brycur who was holding his side, "What happened, did you break your ribs?" ---- When Murell saw Luthor in the doorway to the inn, Murell told Brycur that he was going upstairs to get some sleep and dashed up the stairs. He was confused. Luthor was the man who killed his father...there was no denying that, but in the last battle, Luthor went out of his way NOT to kill anyone. Murell would have to think things through... Love and Peace and Chaos, -The Dreamer-
