found a portal, and he refused to pass thru, saying that he needed his revenge
for his teacher.  I wanted to stay with him, but he bade me pass, if not for
myself, for our child.......

 I have not heard from him, but I still hope that he survives.  Still hope, even
though that foul plane has tried to destroy it."

She ponders for a moment, then as her food arrives, begins to eat ravenously.
