Newsgroups: alt.pub.dragons-inn From: patchman@wpi.WPI.EDU (Peter Bruce Harper) Subject: Brycur talks to Luthor Message-ID: <1992Jun30.163800.10932@wpi.WPI.EDU> Date: Tue, 30 Jun 1992 16:38:00 GMT Brycur exits Murell's room just as Luthor is making his way towards his room to retire for the evening. "Good evening Luthor. You look like a tired soul." "Yes, I am extremely worn from the battle and from helping with the wounded. What were you speaking with Murell about?" "I was just ahh . . . ." he tries to think of a quick lie, "I was just thanking him for aiding me during the battle. " "Oh," Luthor replies somewhat suspiciously. "Well, you had best retire for the evening, we have a busy day tomorrow. We have to start planning for the journey ahead, as well as picking up some supplies. I will let you retire now, I will return first thing in the morning. Good night." He begins to walk away as Luthor resumes walking toward his room. He stops and calls back, "oh, and Luthor, don't forget to lock your door and your windows. We don't want a repeat of the other night." Luthor gives of a slight chuckle and replies, "I will. See you in the morning Brycur." Brycur heads toward the exit from the inn but decides to stay. He doesn't feel right knowing that Luthor's would-be assasin is still alive and staying in the same inn, yet he told Murell that he wouldn't say anything. Will Murell try to kill Luthor again? After pondering for a moment he decides that it would be best if he stayed at the inn for the night. He heads to the counter and says, "a room please, as close to room 12 as possible if you would?" -Brycur ************************************************************************* * "I am the Lizard King, * Peter Harper * * I can do anything! * Worcester Polytechnic Institute * * - James Douglas Morrison * Worcester, MA 01609 * * Poet * patchman@wpi.wpi.edu * * (1943-1971) * patchman@encore.wpi.edu * *************************************************************************
