From: gujn@uniwa.uwa.edu.au (Jeremy Nelson) Newsgroups: alt.pub.dragons-inn Subject: Zia: [Low Town] Dealing with Demons Message-ID: <1992Jul1.022139.27248@uniwa.uwa.edu.au> Date: 1 Jul 92 02:21:39 GMT The two demons are totally igonored, as first Lady Azzar, and then the Cpatain collapse... others tidy up the last of the assorted monsters... Lady Azzar collapses, and despite Zia's attempt at comforting him, the Captaiin looses his head... and collapses too. It soon becomes evident that they have both ingested something which didn't agree with them, but it doesn't seem lethal... The two demons mean while get more and more annoyed at being ignored, finally, they look angry and address the group again.. 'WHERE IS SAGE?' One of the Demons strides toward Zia and the collapsed members. Zia smiles maternally over them, they make a very nice couple. The Demon breathes deeply... and the world blacks out.. ADMIN: Of course it doens't :) But darkness is one of the powers of a Type II. In the ensuing darkness there are muffled groans, and moans, sounds of combat... and then a woman starts chanting, and the darkness promptly blinks out. Zia and the bodies are exactly where they were. Zia smiles cheerily whle the chanting continues... it echos and bounds of the confines of the alley, but the speaker is not evident (although it is obvious the chanter is just round the corner). And the chanting is not simple, but spoken in an alien tongue, no Church work, but a Demon tongue itself... And whatever it is, the Demons don't like it. One kneels clutching arms to head, while the other runs frantically around similarly trying to block the sound... In short course they run into each other and seemingly gain some confidence from this, for they look at each other and then run round the corner after the chanter. Who makes of into the distance (at least that is what it sounds like). Whatever happened, the Demons are gone. Zia smiles encouragingly, hands behind back, and looks around to see what will happen next. The two on the ground snooze soundly. -- Jem.
