Everybody had trampled on him. First the giant, then the Gate Guard, and then Gark, the butcher. "Bear? I have other things to do than watching for bears! Look at my shop! Those barbarians! There's not even a liverwurst left! Go and get me some deer! And no moose please! Do you know how much time I needed to kill the one you brought yesterday? You just left me alone with that!" He had offered to bring the bear, but Gark had thrown things on him. Bricks and shoes. Now he not only didn't know how to get the bear but also what to do with it if he found it. Probably the best was setting it free... Melancholically, he strolled to the bar and got a goat milk. This was when Felix referred to him: >"Bakr over there mentioned something about losing a bear - maybe this is his. >He might prefer it this way - should we ask him? Not that there is any >immediate hurry; it should stay like this for quite some while, I think" Bakr ibn Ja'far ibn Musa al Mekneshi, apprentice mage.
