It seemed that all humans did was whine about the weather and their journey. They had just come through the portal from the Forgotten Realms to a place near the city of Generica, their destination. She had been travelling all this time disguised as another member of the guard complete with pheonix tabard and two week old facial hair. This was not a pleasant disguise. She much preferred her natural form to that of a human male. Tonight, like the past 17 nights was spent talking and complaining in the traditional human way. The fire that they had built had ruined her otherwise sharp night vision. Sharella was not a happy woman. "I don't like this land," said one of the guards while pulling his cloak tighter around his body. "Me neither. I swear that the Mad Queen just wants to kill us," said another. "Will you two shut up and try to get some sleep? This journey would be over sooner if you didn't sleep-in so much and then whine about being tired all day," said Sharella disgusted with them. "You shut up Shar or I'll club you over the head. I don't know who you think you are pushing us around and telling us what to do. I've never seen you before this trip and I think that you are as crazy as the Mad Queen," said the first as he settled down for sleep. Sharella was furious, but her exterior didn't show it. She had been too well trained to let emotions make decisions for her, but the one that came to her was both emotional and logical. The guards couldn't be allowed to enter Generica. There, they would be worthless to her and most likely, they would leak some vital information to Luthor's spies. The Queen had told her about Luthor and his tricks and she was not about to let him prepare for her attack. That night, while Sharella was on watch, she quietly killed each and every guard that the Queen had sent with her. No sound had escaped their lips as they died. 'Practice makes perfect,' she thought as she finished the last of them off with her dagger. 'Travelling will be a lot quicker now.' She collected her things and put out the fire. After her night vision returned, she began walking toward Generica in her preferred form. She looked like a poor defenseless young woman, but any would-be thief who thought she was defenseless had just made his last mistake. Love and Peace and Silent Murder, -The Dreamer-
