Subject: [L] Luthor to Lathan

Characters Involved: Luthor, Lathan, Rowan Littlefair, Brycur (briefly)

     Luthor finished talking to order an late lunch for his friends at the
table.  Rowan himself came over to get the order.
     "Nice plates you have here," said Luthor while he took the four pieces
of the plate he had broken and placed them on Rowan's tray along with an
extra piece of gold.
     "Littlefair, I would like to get back the gem that Brycur gave you.  The
collateral for the healing money...  I don't have that much now, but I can
get it to you when I return to the inn,"  Luthor said in a hushed voice.
Rowan nodded slightly and pocketed the gold coin.
     Luthor looked at the other patrons at his table.  They looked eager for
adventure...all except Lathan.  Luthor looked at him more closely...Lathan
seemed to be in a daze.  He hadn't spoken for hours and Luthor was beginning
to worry.
     He reached inside his robe and pulled out a piece of paper and a pen.
He wrote:
     "My dear friend Lathan,
           You seem to have been overcome by some sort of illness or fell
      magic as you have not spoken in quite some time.  Should you awaken
      before tomarrow, we are getting prepared to leave the city in search
      of a certain Queen and I would suggest that you do the same.  If you
      waken after then, we will be travelling toward the portal to the
      Realms (three days SouthWest of Generica) and we hope you can catch
      up with us before we go through.
                                      All Said Here Bound with Truth,

     Luthor folded the note and put it in Lathan's pocket.
     "I think that this fine gentleman is ill and needs a rest.  Someone
help me move him to my room so he can sleep in peace," said Luthor.  Brycur
and Murell helped him (It took three people since Lathan is a rather large
man) move the dazed Lathan up the stairs and to room 12.

ADMIN:  I haven't heard from Lathan for quite some time...Is he on holiday
        or something?
