Newsgroups: alt.pub.dragons-inn From: andsol@is.rice.edu (Andrew J. The response I got was quite huge. I also got a number of volunteers for running said services. Here is an update on what is going on: 1) Bestiary of the Known Lands: This is now the province of Clinton Wolf who can be reached at wolf@cheshire.oxy.edu . I don't know what format he intends to use, so if you have a submission you should mail him first. 2) Atlas of the Known Lands: Aaron Humphrey will continue to handle this list, although it may be split off from the Tourist's Guide to Generica if it gets too big. Aaron's address is aaron@space.ualberta.ca . It is also likely that Dennis Brennan at djb6@midway.uchicago.edu will be helping on this project, since he wrote most of it anyway. :^) 3) This Week In Review: I will likely handle this one, unless somebody beats my door down looking for the job. If you are managing a thread, send me a weekly one-or-two-paragraph summary of what happened from Sunday to Sunday and I'll include it. Otherwise, I'll just sum up from what I read, and you'll have to take your chances that I don't screw your story up. 4) The Suggestion Box: Most posters and emailers seemed to be of the opinion that this would have limited utility. You may well be right. At the moment, nobody will be doing anything like this. If you want to do it, though, be my guest. 5) The Bulletin Board: This has been taken on by Mike Sander at 344LWKC@CMUVM.CSV.CMICH.EDU (at least, I think that's the right address.) Send your 'notes' to him for a weekly posting. 6) The Alias List: As somebody reminded me, I forgot to mention that this listing is obviously just for UNIX users. I've already sent a few copies out; all I do is copy the aliases straight out of my alias file. Hence, they are all in the form " = =
" and are ready to be copied into your own alias files. Mail me if you want a copy. -- Andrew Solberg |"Moving faster than a speeding bullet isn't andsol@owlnet.rice.edu | much use if you and it are headed straight Phone:713-529-8627 | for each other."
