Salamander watched the forest thoughtfully as they rode by. His
mind was considering the possibilities of highwaymen when the whistle
was heard. His first thought was to draw his sword, but he knew better.
First, let's see what is out there, he thought. Luthor was already
charging ahead.
"Tally-Ho!!!" Salamander yelled, drawing a wand. Spell casting
on horse-back was not something to be tried.. but wand use... He came
around the bend to see the situation. A group of men had emerged from
the woods and were laywaying Murell. They all wore leather, and some
had already drawn their longswords on Murell. A few had bows drawn and
we're aimed down the trail. Salamander pointed his wand at one who had
his bow drawn at him. "Tash!" he yelled, and three magic missiles leaped
from the wand and impacted in the man's chest. The theif fell without a
word.
Another theif turned and drew his bow. Salamander realized that
he couldn't be able to fire again before the man fired. Salamander
ducked as the arrow sailed overhead. With nothing left to do,
Salamander ran the man down with his horse. Salamander spun his horse
and charged to the back of his friends. He jumped off his horse and
prepared for spell casting. Looking, he surveyed the fray around him.

Kaeli (thief): "Hey guys! There's hundreds of orcs around the corner!"
Mok (paladin): "Orcs! Tally- Ho!!" (trots around the corner, great-sword drawn)
Salamander: "Swell, Kailie, you did have to say the 'O' word, didn't you."
