	Though the introductions were warm enough, Valgar could see that they
did find his stench somewhat repugnant.  Spending five years chained under
the deck of a slave ship with a motley bunch of men, elves, lizard men, and
other, fouler things did not make one a pleasant smelling man.
	"Thank you for your invitation.  I am honored to join such a diverse
group as this upon your quest.  I apologize for my current condition, but
I have... uh... suffered much as a result of the riots.  I am destitute and
hungry.  If we have time, I would like to clean myself, eat, and acquire some
necessary equipment before we embark."
	He looked down at the filthy grey rags that covered his forearms and
began to wrap them tighter in his nervousness.  He extended a hand to the
shrunken giant, who accepted the handshake and even managed a smile in spite
of all that was on his mind.
	"Thank you, SunStorm, for this opportunity.  I feared that I would be
destined to a life of begging.  You have given me a chance not only to help
you, but to help myself.  For that, I thank you."
