     The mage fired his wand at the charging cavalier and hit (ADMIN: Magic
Missles never miss :-).  He had tried to knock the elf off his horse, but it
didn't work.  He had managed to wound the cavalier a little and piss him
off a lot.
     The mage ducked the cavalier's first attack, and then flew higher to
try and out-fly him, but the horse was moving incredibly fast (ADMIN: the
effect of Salamander's Haste Spell).  The cavalier turned to attack again
and the mage wondered just how much longer his luck could hold out.
