Dragon! Not again.. I thought I left this kind of problem behind in Cancord! Samalander's mind raced... Great.. the one time I could have used Kaile and her gems... Salamander faintly heard someone yelling something about the dragon breathing, when he felt the hair on his arms raise. The bolt of lightning exploded a score of yards away from Salamander, but the force still knocked him over. Standing up, Sal began casting a fireball. He knew that he'd be able to get the spell off before the dragon came back, but he forgot what Luthor had said about spells in this world... With the door to the Realms open, some of its instability leaked through and was interferring with Salamander's magic. As the spell was being cast, he knew that something was wrong. The forces of magic, instead of focusing at a point and then being directed toward the Dragon by magic, focused in the shape of a rectangle infront of him. It took a physical form...a wall of flames, 40' high and 40' wide appeared in front of Salamander, shielding him from the sight of the Dragon. A few moments later, Murell and Brycur joined him behind the wall. "Nice trick Sal...what's your plan?" said Murell with an evil look on his face. "Plan? Er...ah...well, now that we're protected, you could go around the corner and fire your arrows," the rather stunned Salamander improvised. "Brilliant!" Murell said as he readied his bow. He fired two shots and then came back around the corner. "Did you hit him?" asked the still stunned Brycur. "Yes, but I don't think it did any good. I'll have to chop him up." Murell turned and put his bow down and then drew his sword. "Murell! Your back is a bloody mess. I don't think that you're up to fighting dragons right now." Salamander noticed that Murell was looking very pale and a bit confused. "Nonsense. 'Tis but a scratch." He said shortly before passing out.
