They exchanged a look that acknowledged each other as early risers, and Colin looked hungrily at Maleiu's breakfast before ordering his own. Kron came down a little while later. Littlefair gave him a message from Tvarne. Maleiu remembered the healer and his charity, and resolved to go talk to him if he had a spare moment that day. Then he spied the wayward pair from the previous day's battle with the Wasters, as Azzar and Captain return to the Inn, with another unfamiliar figure in tow. Azzar greeted Colin cheerfully, Captain talked briefly to Littlefair and also asked got the message from Tvarne. And the unfamiliar figure approached the table, offering to join their band if they were facing the Wasters. Maleiu mentally checked them off on his mental list. Who was absent? Marcel, and Thk. They had been up late, though, as a couple of questions to Serene had ascertained, doing something with a bizarre person named 'Raelf. Fenris and HighFlyer had left on their own business. And Nirvan. What had happened to Nirvan? He'd gone dashing off over the rooftops in pursuit of that elastic Waster after the battle yesterday, and there had been no further sign of him. If he had gotten into trouble, then it was Maleiu's fault for involving him. He hoped that the youth had merely found something else to occupy him. That was something else he would have to attend to if he had time that day. Kron was starting to outline the plans of the warehouse they were to invade, despite Thk and Marcel's absence, and Maleiu listened intently... -- ---Alfvaen(a.k.a. Aaron V.
