Her opponent's left hand was chained to a massive book, which he kept closed for added fairness in their game. He turned over a card, and almost instantly Death slapped down her own black card on top of it, saying, "I found Waldo!" Destiny spread his hands in concession, and motioned for her to take her own turn. She drew two cards, a red three and a Wild Draw Four card. She put down the red three and drew another card--Puncture Proof. Let Destiny try to play any Flat Tires on her now... She contemplated the board, and said, "Alasir attacks Vascondy." She and Destiny rolled dice, and slowly the armies of Vascondy were whittled away and Death moved in her own black ones. She drew another card for her victory. The Savannah. Well, that might come in handy for later, although Destiny had the Dark Continent pretty much wrapped up. Anyway, she played the Wild Draw Four card, hoping Destiny wouldn't challenge it. He didn't, drawing the cards silently. Then he grinned and lay them all down. Child, Woman, Man and Sage of Crystals. A perfect plerd. Death cursed as Destiny reached for the 8-Ball and rolled it across the floor. He bent down to read the result, and his face fell. Death grinned and picked out a card and read the orange question. "What minor goddess, extant in Roth and the Known Lands, has the silken whip as her symbol?" Destiny sat and fidgeted, obviously wishing he could open his book to check the answer. He was >horrible< at trivia questions without it. "Loviatar?" he guessed finally, in a hoarse whisper. Death shook her head. "Aditi," she said. "My turn." She took Destiny's discarded Vascondian armies and tried to build them into a stack without toppling them. She managed to get 10 of them piled before the stack fell. "A new record," she said, noting it down in her book. Destiny didn't respond, except to spin the spinner. "Right foot blue," he whispered. ADMIN: Whee! This is silly, but fun... -- ---Alfvaen(a.k.a.
