Message-ID: <1992Aug7.133530.9999@sequent.com> Date: Fri, 7 Aug 92 13:35:30 GMT [ADMIN: Please excuse the use of both [L] and [KQ], but I wanted to make sure that Brycur would note this occurence as well.] Characters: Barnacle Bill, Brycur In his rush to leave the Dragon's Inn and assume his new post as skipper of the _Morning_Breeze_, Bill almost forgot what it was that he had come to the in for in the first place. Turning on his heel at the docks, Bill returned to the Inn. To his dismay, he found that Captain had left in the company of Kron and a relatively large group of adventurers. He asked Littlefar, "Barkeep, do you know how to write?" "Yes" "Would you take down a note for me and pass it on to Captain when he returns? You see, we are going to be leaving port today and I doubt that we will have returned by the time Captain returns here." "I'd be happy to help you out, of course there is a fee of a silver for me to pass messages." Bill produced the silver and dictated the message as follows: Captain, Once more you have been taken by that scoundrel Brycur. His men appeared this morning with only half the supplies you ordered. It seems that they were waylaid by the mobs (likely story) and lost half the stock which was ours. They then claimed that since the price of food and supplies had risen, this would be all that they would be delivering. Also, Brycur seems to have skipped town and left another in his stead who simply can't be reasoned with. Bill Littlefar folded up the message and placed it behind the bar. He assured Bill that Captain would get it upon his return and Bill took his leave. -- Captain
