Guards with halberds were patrolling on them, and a large dog watched them from a rock nearby. He concentrated on one of them for a couple of minutes and committed his way of moving to his memory. Then he barked at the guard furiously. "Hey, stop that, dog!" The animal got silent, and the guard smiled. "You are a nice doggie. I never had such an obedient dog. Well, I have to go now, the sergeant looks over here already." The guard continued on his patrol, and when he returned, the animal wagged the tail and hackled. The guard talked to him while walking and almost run into the sergeant. "Who you talking to?" "Nobo..uh, just a dog out there." "I can see no dog." The animal was gone. --------------------------------------------------- "Knock knock knock." "Who's there?" "Bakr." Brycur unlocked the door, and the overweight mage entered. "Did it work, Bakr?" Murell asked. "Surprisingly yes. I picked the guard that looked most harmless and unconspicuous. I know his way of moving and his way of talking, so I think I can safely pose as him." "How did you get him to talk?" "I barked at him. He seems to like dogs. Luthor is not back yet?" "No, but he can return any moment, and then we can start." Bakr sipped half of the anti-exhaustion potion he had bought at Miggung's Magic Shop with the money he got from SunStorm. His lack of stamina had proved to be the major obstacle in his carreer. One or two spells usually were enough to exhaust him. Bakr ibn Ja'far ibn Musa al Mekneshi, apprentice mage.
