The gamespace was rather constrained this time, and somehow Death's grin did not look at all happy. Destiny, however was extremely happy. "Cat's game. I win again, you want to start?" Death patiently reached out her bony finger and scratched a skull into the upper left corner. (In generica, a gargoyle died.) Destiny gestured, and the middle square was marked with the sigil of the enigma: X. (In generica, Alfvaen met with Moriarty.) Death scratched a skull into the lower left corner. (In the Forgotten Realms, a fireball toasted several lizardmen) Destiny waved negligently, and the enigma appeared between Death's skulls, blocking her win. (In the Gaps, a hand completed regenerating its body.) Death reached again, resignedly. A skull, at the right side middle, blocking Destiny from a total win. (The king of the tunnel crocodiles died at the hands of the upstart, and was eaten by his children.) Destiny chortled and touched the upper right corner. The enigma bloomed under his finger. (In generica, a ship set sail for the Rameshan empire.) "Cats game again, unless you want to play it all the way out." Death stared. He was insufferable today. She ripped the sheet of paper from the pad, crumpled it, and tossed it onto the infinite heap around them. Only (aleph_null - 1) more to go... "OK, this time I'll start..." ----- The title, Hugs and Kisses, comes from the practice of signing letters with "X" for kiss and "O" for hugs ... hence, OXOXOX - hugs and kisses
