There was a large building, that hadn't been there the day before situated on the mainstreet. It was large, stone ( unusual enough for this area ), and hadn't been there a day ago. With my newfound senses, primitive and weak as they were I could also feel magic, but then any fool could have told that. There was a large crowd outside the building shouting, and attempting to get in, but there was no reaction from the building. I walked on, not feeling able to deal with more than one life-altering experience inone day, and eventually reached the bar, a small wooden building with some tables and a serving bench. I sat down, to drink a small glass of mead, ( yes it was sold in glasses, I don't know where the glass came from ), and try and clear the turbulent mess that was my head. The whole world looked slightly different. The same, but . . . different, hmmmmm . . . .as though it had a new layer put on top of it, a new set of colours that told me more of what the world was like. It was this sense, that dragged my attention to a girl as she entered the bar. I didn't even notice that she was elven, just that she was an incredible bright . . . . ummmmm .. . . colour. She sat down opposite me on the other side of the room, and I just stared, she was the most beautiful thing I ever saw, radiant, . . .aaarhhhhhmmmm . . yes, well. Suffice to say she caught my attention in a big way. I was lost at sea in a well of feelings, magic, incomprehension and . . . .and . . Oh damnit, I need another drink. -- Cameron Neylon cam@gu.uwa.edu.au I can't think of anything witty enough that people would really want to see it time after time after . .
