However, I have been somewhat busy lately and have thus neglected posting. Please treat this as if it were posted before Luthor, Bakr, and myself went into the castle Location: the Hut Character's involved: Brycur and his Sword Brycur moved to the back of the hut so that he could be alone. The battle plans had been made and Luthor and Bakr had set out on their respective missions. Brycur needed to have a talk with someone, but wasn't ready to explain it to e the rest of the party just yet, so he sat in a secluded corner and removed his sword from its sheath. 'Maice, we need to talk.' Brycur whispered at the sword He waited patiently. A few moments later the sword began to glow a dim blue and a voice was heard, 'what could possibly be so importnat that you would wake me?' 'I need you to help me.' Brycur replied, seeming to be somewhat pleased to have gotten anything of a response. 'Again?' came the reply. 'We are going into a very important battle soon and I may need your help.' 'Oh, well, what's in it for me?' Brycur looked somewhat baffled by this question, 'well, what do you want? What do you need? I mean, you're a sword . . . ' 'Don't remind me, or else I'll refuse to help. I want to be freed from this accursed thing so that I can go to be with Allandrie, my Goddess.' 'Well, how can I do that?' 'You can not, and it can not be done as far as I know. However, if you swear o to me that if ever there is a way which can free me, you must do it, without hesitation. For that promise I will help you when it becomes necessary.' 'And who determines when it is necessary?' Brycur appeared somewhat uncertain. 'I do, of course!' replied the sword, 'do we have an agreement?' 'It seems that I have little choice. I only hope that you deem help necessary at the same time I feel it is necessary.' 'I will do what I can for you. Now, please if you want me to be combat-ready I must be allowed to sleep. And remember our deal, I will aid you, but you must free me if you can find a way.' 'Of course' replied Brycur with a grin. He then stood up and placed his sword back in its sheath. He places the sword upon a blanket on the ground as he decides that he could use some rest as well. Admin: There is a story behind the sword, obviously, but I will briefly sum it up now. There is the soul of a once powerful wizard-priest trapped within the sword, it was placed there by a truely powerful wizard. The soul is of a man named Maice Frostoner who used to live in the icelands far to the North. He did something to cross the Wizard (Brycur still does not know what it was) and was killed and then trapped forever within the (Brycur's) sword. The sword has been in Brycur's family for several generations, and has helped his pre- decessors win many battles. However, Maice has a bit of an attitude, and he only helps Brycur when he feels like it. -Brycur the Merchant
