It was a real monster of a dog, and it was clearly a much better fighter >than Bakr. Seeing Brycur chop off the hand of the bodyguard, Luthor decided that he should help Bakr instead. Bakr was being attacked by the guard's faithful and rather large war dog. The look on his face was one of panic. The dog charged Bakr, knocking him to the ground and making him lose his dagger. He tried to reach for it, but the dog went for his neck and it was all he could do to keep the dog from tearing out his throat. Luthor ran over to them and grabbed the dog around the middle, trying to pull it off of Bakr. The dog was heavy, and strong, but Luthor managed to wrestle it off. Bakr, now freed from the dog, snatched up his dagger, and moved in for the kill. Again, Bakr tried his animal control, but the spell misfired causing Bakr to go into a sneezing fit for a few minutes. When he was done sneezing, he saw that the dog was on top of a shadowy figure (Luthor), snarling and barking wildly. Bakr moved behind the dog, reached around its neck, and slit its throat, ending the barking and the dogs life. Luthor got up, now visible and with blood stains on his tunic. "I thought you could control animals Bakr," he said while trying to wipe off some of the dogs blood. "Not this one, it was too well trained to go against its master." Bakr shrugged. "It's a pity, it might have helped against the queen. "And how are you Brycur? You seem to have saved the day...and I thought you said that you were no warrior...nonsense," Luthor said with a smile, but his thanks were true. "Bakr, did you hear enough of the guard's speech to immitate him?" Brycur asked changing the subject. "Yes, I think so, but I wouldn't want to do it for a long period of time." Bakr took his old form - he had fought looking like Private Veikas - then he emptied his anti-exhaustion potion, tried to calm down a bit, and made his spell. "Can we go now?" he said, looking and sounding like the queen's bodyguard. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Love and Peace and Immitations, -The Dreamer- "Sex is good, but not as good as the real thing." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bakr ibn Ja'far ibn Musa al Mekneshi, apprentice mage.
