From: cam@gu.uwa.edu.au (Cameron Neylon) Newsgroups: alt.pub.dragons-inn Subject: [DQWMI] Maybe this bloody time the sculpture will be finished! Message-ID: <1992Sep10.033931.576@gu.uwa.edu.au> Date: 10 Sep 92 03:39:31 GMT Admin: There is a higher power trying to stop me posting thiss but I'll try to get through before the machine crashes on me ! William absorbed in his work, barely notices the peoplle around him, or that he has talked to them. He works feverishly on the clay. Lancos:"Say just what is it your making thhere?" "I would have thought _that_ was obvious", William answers, but not so that he'd notice. In fact he seems totally unconcerned that he is talking to someone. A shape appears breifly in the clay, then disappears almost immediately as the clay turns, then reappears again, punctuated by an enitrely audible gassp from Alfvaen. Then the form becomes more apparent, as that of a woman. Then suddenly it isn't anymore, it turns into a young girl, then another twist and wings, and scales suddenly appear. A dragon takes shape. Another twist and the woman appears again. Alfvaen practically faints, the Rat giggles slightly. Suddenly the dragon appears again, this time the gasp is heard from Lancos. The activity of the artist reaches a feverish pitch as the forms coalesce, changing everytime he moves the piece in his hand. His hands move at a ridiculous pace, the silence getting louder and louder . . . and louder . . . crash. The sculpture clatters to the table, as William looks mildly suprised, then slumps sideways off his chair. Admin: Insert Lancos' and Alfvaen's conversation here. Damnit I shoul have replied to the post. Ho Hum. After a short whhile, though, he revives. Looking very groggy and disoriented, but a lot more sober. Admin: Hopefully this won't confuse too many people too much. Sorry it's so late but first the server died, then I couldn't retreive the post and then, well somebody "talked" me in the middle of rewriting it. PLease, please god let this one get through. (:) -- Cameron Neylon cam@gu.uwa.edu.au I can't think of anything witty enough that people would really want to see it time after time after . .
