Good evening, fellow Pubbers.

I may soon lose net.access.  I will wish to get my house in order before
I (regretably) lose contact with this newsgroup.  One thing I wish to do
is get the Character Summaries List in shape before I hand it off to somebody
else.

As anybody who reads the list can tell, it has grown quite long and cumbersome.
This is not because there is a large amount of traffic on this group, but
because many people have sent me character summaries and then left without
telling me.  The list needs pruning.  For this reason, I am asking for a
voluntary-compliance census.

If you presently have a character or characters in my list who are ACTIVE
(ie you post every now and then), send me a brief note telling me who they
are and that you want them saved.  If possible, include the word 'CENSUS'
in the subject line so I can process them easier. 

One week after this posting, those characters who have not been spoked for
will be moved off the list and into my sleeper file.  This means that your
summary will not be deleted; it will just not be POSTED to the net every
bloody week.  If you do not want your character saved, there is no need to
tell me so: you will be AUTOMATICALLY moved off.

I have done this once before; it worked quite well.  I hope for a similarly
successful turnout this time.
