He shows no surprise at the nature of his companion; whether he is used to dark elves or simply too preoccupied to notice is not clear. "Greetings, milady," he says, "I have not had the honor of your acquaintnace, but if you can help me regain my identity, you are welcome, indeed..." Later, in a secluded room of the Inn, Garriot relates his story to Khisanth (what little there is to relate), thus: "My name is Garriot...beyond that, I cannot say. I know that I am fleeing someone who wishes me ill, and that I have been doing so for some time, but even those memories are hazy. The only clear memories I have are of the time I have spent in this Inn. I also seem to recall...companions, close companions. I fear that they have come to ill." He meets Khisanth's eyes with his own haunted stare. "Can you help me?"
