From: andsol@owlnet.rice.edu (Andrew J. Solberg) Newsgroups: alt.pub.dragons-inn Subject: ADMIN: Wrapping Up My Affairs Message-ID: Date: 15 Sep 1992 00:53:21 GMT I have lost my campaign to keep my account. I will be leaving the net in a few short days. In that time, I would like to get some things squared away: 1) Does anybody want to take over the Character Summary List? Signor Bavister says he will do it if nobody else will, but he does enough already. If anybody has a little time (and a lot of disk space) to spare, please mail me and ask for the job. 2) Speaking of which, this is a reminder: Anybody who wants your character to remain on the Character Summary List and has not yet responded to my census, DO SO NOW. All you have to do is drop me a line telling me which characters are to be saved. Any unclaimed characters will be dumped unceremoniously into the sleeper file. 3) A reminder to all persons who are currently involved in a 'thread': these stories grow confusing and tortuous to those who are not directly involved therein. Hence, it is a good idea to periodically post a brief precis of What Has Gone Before. (I'm working on one for the Kron thread: God knows it has gotten labyrinthine enough!) There used to be a weekly summary of events, but it died due to lack of interest. If you want to revive this list, do so, but don't bug me about it. :^) 4) I want to say my goodbyes now, in case my account gets zapped prematurely. I will still be around, probably posting occassionally through the account of a friend, but I guess this is the end of my net.presence. Sniffle. This has been an extraordinarily fun group. I am indebted to Nightstalker for conceiving of the Dragon's Inn, and for having the gumption to carry it through. I would also like to thank Dennis Brennan for dragging me kicking and screaming into his thread and thereby beginning my active presence in this group. Finally, I would like to thank the denizens of the Dragon's Inn, from the mightiest Giant to the lowliest mopboy, for molding Generica into the unique place it is today. You have our GRATITUDE! :^) But enough bandwidth! Suffice it to say that I will miss you all, and I will return if possible to ruin your lives with more organizational trivia, hour-long posts, and general annoyingness.
