As Karl checked the closet, and seeing no one in there, he promptly closed the
door and turned to Radan, who was sitting on the bed with a bemused look on his
face. "Radan, are feeling ok?"

Radan looked over at Karl, "yes Karl, I am. I was just thinking of something,
and as it is late in the evening, I lost track of what it was I was telling
you-Oh yeah, the Slave woman. Tillieflowers told me that this Amaan is staying
at a nearby Inn, and will await there until we are adequately equiped to handle
the expedition back. Another thing, and I may be redundant, but just in case,
I should let you know, These loaner slaves, I think are going to attempt
escape. I have seen some of the conditions some of slaves have to endure, and
well, I can not blame them. I am willing to help them in their plight from
danger. I will do as you wish, because I am in your employ, however, I feel
that these people were not slaves to begin with, at least Tillie wasn't, She
was an Elf that told of being part of a group in Generica.
Another thing, I believe that Amaan may be defecting to Generica.
I have no solid proof, just suspicion from Amaan's slave of the day..." Radan
thought about the scroll he had been hiding as of late, He knew that he should
fess up that he had something for the Amaan, but he wasn't sure he should tell
Karl. something about that scroll told Radan to just stay put for awhile, and
deliver it to Amaan himself. Perhaps later, when the others were asleep, he
would go down for a walk and find this Amaan to deliver this scroll personally.

"Radan? Are you ok? I think its about time for shut eye." Shade slowly went
up to Radan and patted him on the shoulder, "Come friend, Let us take you to
your room, I can tell by the Old Ones, you have not the spirit of the
traveller one must have on these types of adventures..." Leading Radan away,
Shade looked at Karl, who just nodded and then shook his head with a smile.

"You two just sleep this suspicious rubbage off, we are fairly well protected,
this is the Courts Inn after all." Karl said as he went out the room with the
two Adventurers, and then to his own room. Karl sat at the empty table and
scribbled out a note for Hazy, saying they were all asleep and not to make too
much noise.
                        *             *              *
In the middle of the night, in a blue haze of dreams, Radan struggled with
consciousness, holding on to a scroll, and then some one came up to him,
saying, 'I think that belongs to me?' A very strange man, one with ever
changing features, but always the same eyes, piercing, and menacing.
Motionlessly, the scroll was in the man's hands, and for some reason no one
around Radan could move, They were all on a ship, guests around them looking at
Radan's appearance, a mark on his left cheek started to bleed. Radan looked at
the blood running down his fingers, it was a warm, pleasant feeling. Horriifed
looks on everyones faces made Radan look down, His flesh was being torn apart,
a feeling of great warmth covering his entire body, then a cold feeling, and
then his wounds were gone. the scroll still lay in his hands. A woman's face
looked up at Radan her lips moved, saying, "Help me" Tears in her eyes, and a
young woman in her arms, bleeding. Screaming from somewhere, Radan heard
screaming, an agonizing scream, the likes of which one would hear in a
nightmare. A White horse appeared, and looked at him. Then slowly turned
away, and walked into a wooded glade. An amulet appeared in his vision, around
his neck. It was a beautifully carved silver and had a slight hint of an inner
light emulating from it. A little itch began on his left cheek
again, and a wet spot formed on his left breast. As Radan looked down he could
see the young woman standing as he fell to the ground. Blood clouded his
vision, and someone came to him shaking him, Radan couldn't get away, He lashed
out at the figure, and tried to get away, running, running, need to run. A
light, in a window, look there for peace. Turning to the window, Radan awoke
to the first rays of the Rameshan Sun greeting his chest as he stood nude on
the balcony of his room. Many of the other patrons of the Bazaar and Court Inn
were still in bed, sleeping, saying good night to mistresses and consorts, and
trying to avoid being seen. Realizing where he was and What he did not have
on, Radan quickly went back to the bed he was in, sweat dripping off his body
and got back into bed.

Radan forgot about the dream he was involved in that night, for the time
being...
