Subject: [L] Encounter on the Nexus Side

Two days after the group entered the desert, they came to a huge pair of
black marble doors floating just above the sand.  The doors were still
open from the last group of people who went through those doors to Nexus.
Through the doorway could be seen a lightly forrested area covered with
scorch marks.  Eager to leave the storm behind them, the Luthor Questors
passed through and then shut the doors behind them.

"Helen, this is where we fought the Blue Dragon.  See that scorch mark," Luthor
pointed to a huge black mark on the ground that was now sprouting new bright
green grass, "That is where Salamander was standing when the dragon blasted
him.  I thought he was dead for sure."

"Over there is where I found Bakr pretending to be a bush or something.  He
hadn't been prepared for the magical instability in the area." Luthor
continued to point to other key places and describe events in the battle.

While wandering around the scene of the battle, the most unfortunate Luthor
stumbled across a very startled skunk (and we all know what startled skunks
do, don't we?)

Salamander grinned slyly- "Hey Luthor- I kinda have been working
on a variant of a silencing spell- 'No Smell'.  I'm looking for
something that will help hide scents from tracking animals."  Sal waved
a hand in front of his nose and looked at Luthor.  "Too bad I don't have
it perfected....."

Luthor was mortified.  Everyone except Jabu cleared away from him hurredly.
"Don't worry my friend, I know how to make a salve that will remove the
smell from your clothing." Jabu said comfortingly.

All Luthor said was "This salve could work."
