She approached the main desk in the reception area to inquire, "Excuse me, can you tell me where I might find the wild woman, the man with claws, the healer, the man of darkness, and the man with the stick leg, and...well, you MUST know who I mean?" The man behind the desk raised a chunk of brilliant turquoise hung on a chain around his neck up to his forehead and then to his lips, where he kissed it reverently, closing his eyes, "All praise to the blessed and eternal Elahar where he sits at the fulcrum of the past and the future, of all good and all evil (Hazy sighed) of all that is real and all that is unreal..." He suddenly opened his eyes and said flatly, "They have left." He reached into a drawer to his right. "I was told to show this note to any members of the party lodged here that might inquire after them." Hazy took the note and opened it. She could get numbers pretty well so she understood the 3:00 part but words were another thing. She knew the word "at" and that was a big clue. She held the note out so the gentleman behind the desk could see it, "What does this bit here say, please?" "It says, 'Splendid Gardens'," he replied, obviously calling on Elahar to give him more patience. Hazy, oblivious to most human subtleties of expression, handed the note back to him beaming, "Thank you!" She turned and headed out the door, fading with every step she took until she disappeared just as she stepped outside. The man at the desk rolled his eyes upward and clasped his hands together at his chest, "Glorious Elahar, let them never return!" Hazy did a high-flight reconnaisance of the city looking for the most spectacular gardens the city had to offer. She flew over a huge plot of greenery traced through with gleaming canals. She circled lower for a closer look. This had to be the place. Exotic birds flew to and fro, giant blossoms scented the air and vines nearly obscured the garden walls. She noticed a gazebo packed with a rather animated group and correctly assumed it HAD to be her group. "Hi everyone," she said as she landed and quickly shifted to a light gray shade, "are we leaving yet?" Hazy Drifter
