Thanks to all of you who sent in suggestions for gangs. I went through and
picked my favourites. If your favourites that you sent in aren't here, then
don't take this as a sign that you can't use them yourselves if you want to.
But these are ones I'm likely to be using, and that will be written up. They
are in no particular order, because I couldn't really decide on an ordering for
them. Except for the first one--"le Roy Boyz" is my favourite out of all the
submissions. Thank you, Tim.

Special Quantity award goes to Michael Rigler, who sent me over a hundred
names. The ones I think are the best are listed here, but I can post the
entire list if anyone's interested...some of them would make great band names.

A more formal-type and organized post may be made later, with descriptions for
all the gangs and names of prominent members. A lot of these will at least be
mentioned in passing in the [MI] thread and any others Noctu gets his nose
into...(see next post for details).

Without further ado:

le Roy Boyz -- a group of youths claiming to be royalty in the Low city.
they favor purple in their cloaks and ermine at the collars. The group
is headed by 'the Kink' -- he siezed power when he forced the former
Kink to abdicate with the 'crown'---of his head. They are too tight
knit a group to kill eachother without cause, so the former Kink is
     presently a Nearl...

   'Unnel Chuz:
Spend a lot of time down in the sewers, hunting T-crocs or being hunted by
T-crocs. As part of their initiation, they spend three days by themselves in
the sewers. Usually notable by their distinctively puissant odor.

Night Martens:
A big gang occupying a large part of the Low City, south of the Scrappy Ram.
Their boss is Hot Seccho, a large young half-ogre, and the others are mostly
human, though there is a half-drow, Bethor Rinch, and a half-orc, Hyac Zuggsudz.
The human members are Muys Badds, Whurgo Finkum, Fifti Meahodds, and Thilu Fish,
and they have some orcdogs to help them in their actions. All members, as well
as their dogs, wear a spiked ring around the neck.

Shadow Falcons:
They have a sort of moral code, they don't kill their victims until it's
*really* necessary. This is because of the personality of their charismatic
leader, Santo Yonkuhn, who once was a novice priest of Trulfar, a fertility
goddess. He has been thrown out of the temple for stealing.
Guby Zulkims is his most devoted follower, the others are Fett Coss and
Meg Berfes, Santo's moll. They are all humans in the late teens, and their
district is close to the South Gate, which means that they often have to fight
the Night Martens.

The Trigolet Clan:
Boar, Bear, Ox, and Mule Trigolet, four brothers whose father came from Ydoine
after killing one person too many (a baronet), and their brother-in-law,
Gustafi Kruzaxl, who is from Pappheymknaff, an orc-infested country northeast of
Vascondy, in the Mysty Mountains. The brothers all earn their names with their
looks, and Gustafi is a brute with a square chin. They earn their money west of
the Spitting Cobra, and they *really* don't like elves other than dead ones.

1) Norad's Pummelers. Norad is the last name of the Elven family that has
ruled this gang --due to their fighting, theivery, and occasionally magic
skills-- since its beginning. Its symbol is the imprint of a fist. Besides
the current Norad and son, no "important" members.

2) Choas Creating Crew. This racially mixed, basically leaderless group
lives up to its name from the destruction they cause. There symbol is 3
C's, each smaller from left to right and placed inside the larger Cs.
<Tough to describe --I guess I COULD provide a graphic representation if
 you really want one.

3) Black Bullies. Dress entirely in black and thus prefer to work the
darker yet somewhat richer parts of Low City. Symbol:A fair sized black
square. Rumor is (and as far as I'm concerned, the truth could be) that
a drow is in authority here, and also lent to their name.
