When the last foe falls, Roger feels a wave of dizziness pass over him, and a hazy vision forms, superimposed over the landscape. He sees the men that 'visited' him in the inn sitting at a table with a board and pieces set up. He sees them exchange words, but does not hear them. The vision fades as the man in black smugly smiles. After a short pause, he surveys the scene. He sees Glysten with Traveler standing over him and Wanderer near by with Bran Pathseeker. Thorr-kan has disappeared into the woods on his steed, and Galland is nowhere to be seen. He hears an approaching horse, but relaxes as Kordane walks his steed back to the battle site. Roger relaxes and gathers Traveler's mount as well as Bone, his own horse. As he leads the horses over to Traveler, he reflects on what he saw in the melee. A look of realization passes over Roger's face, and he meets Traveler's gaze. Roger notes approvingly that Traveler does not shy away from his skull and crossbone pupils. If anyone is watching carefully, they note the look of recognition pass between the two men, and Roger give a slight nod as he moves to stand beside Traveler, slightly behind and to the side of him, holding their steeds by the reins. At this point, Traveler speaks. Roger shows no reaction to the compliment, but does get a sour look at the mention of Galland's name. Roger then speaks to the group, "The brand of chaos is one sign of who is behind this attack, and yet another is a vision that I received at the end of the melee. I saw the Elders seated at a table with the game board Glysten mentioned between them. They exchanged words, and the White looked pleased. I don't know the source of the vision, but I think that the Black was behind the ambush. What worries me, though, is that as the vision ended the Black had a smile on his face... I advise that we be on our toes and not be so stupid in the future." After this, Roger looks around at the group and blandly states, "This ain't gonna be no walk in the park, chummers."
