Someone had shut him up, along with his little green dog. I swigged down the last of the free beers that joes with too much money had bought the house, and sauntered over to the corner where the tough guy was waving around a parchment like it was a surrender flag. "Lemme see that." I muttered, "I might want to go with you. Got a steady hand with a knife and I don't back down from a story." He handed me the map. I couldn't make head or tail out of it. Said "Blackhawk" at the top. I said "Blackhawk, huh?" "Yes." the guy said. "That far from here?" "Very far. "Suits me fine, ace. Name's Pitzar. Jake Pitzar. I'm with the _Examiner_. We might be able to get some good press on this one." I pulled up a chair, and started asking questions. The light flickered, and somewhere in the pub, a corner disappeared...
