With the kind of magic he was packing, maybe he did. It was a flat disk, with little balls, spinning around on it. He said it would take us across dimensions. It didn't look like it could take us past 19th Street, but I didn't say it to his face. I didn't know- he might have been telling the truth. He'd have to be a hell of a wizard...or knifed a hell of a wizard, more likely. Either way, he was damn impressive, this Sarbrek character, and he was local color to add to the story of Blackhawk. I listened close as he and Steele got to talking. Somewhere in the city, the sound of a capella blues began to rise in the air. I knew we would be leaving soon. Real soon.
