Ixnaphior, having been listening patiently to this, decided to slightly change
the direction of conversation, most to satisfy his own curiosity. "I believe
that she means that it would be dishonorable to learn from you without
returning your favor. And since she feels," he turns to the drow, "please
correct me if I am wrong in this," he turns back to Indigo, "that you are not
capable of learning what she has to teach, that she cannot accept tutoring
from you. But I have a curiosity that I think can be satisfied without worry."
Ixy positions himself so as to be addressing both at once. "How exactly does
rune magic operate, as opposed to other forms of magic? I mean, is it just
magic by use of runes, or is it something deeper? Also, if it is so dangerous,
why don't you try learning a safer, but equally effective magic. I have seen
three different forms of magic on my homeworld alone, and other types are
slowly developing as well. Forgive me if I am going too deep into the subject,
these questions are born of curiosity only."
Ixnphior glances at his amulet, to see how the darkness is holding up, as he
never tried something like this before.

>from her. He [Indigo] prepared another mind probe. He wanted to be subtle,
As luck would have it, Ixy was looking at the amulet just as the probe started.
He gained the destinct image of a shimmering line of many colors reaching from
Indigo to the drow. Before doing anything rash, he set the amulet back in his
tunic, and turned to Indigo, but not the drow, could see his face, which just
shows a very inquisitive/puzzled look, as if to say 'what are you doing.'
Hopefully Indigo would notice this and clear up the question somehow.
