   "I know of the regions which you are speaking of, and yes, the idea is
similar.  If no defined outlet is created then almost pure random chance
will decide which of the minor little flaws in your work will define that
which you did not intentionally define.  Sometimes they open to random
worlds, sometimes they explode, sometimes they create 'things'.  
   "It is quite easy to destroy the outlets, define an outlet or destroy
the structure, the planar gates must be constantly fed energy to function.
