   Her calm facade falls for a moment.  "Please, Indigo.  I would welcome
any respite from this pain!"

   It was this very confidence which convinced her that he knew what he was
saying.  She would trust Indigo, partly for that, and partly because she
had no choice.

   She did not appear to notice Indigo's slip of the tongue.  Perhaps she
