Ixnaphior is about to respond, when he notices Indigo nodding off. Ixy looks
over at Moria. "I guess I'll tell him when he wakes up. But I'm certain you
have similar questions, so I will tell you now. This artifact is indeed real.
The story I told, although much condensed- the full story in all its detail
would concern things that happened before I met the Wizard and his companion,
and also be about a week long in telling- is the absolute truth. If I had the
sphere here, for instance, aside from being very foolish, I would be able to
do anything with the minds of anyone in the inn, this town, and most of the
land for miles around. Indigo is correct, to rely on objects is unnatural, but
it is possible, and so the world I come from is fortunate that we were able to
resist the corruption of one's soul that almost devoured us, which derives
from such immense power. I only use the power that I am allowed through my
ring, and then only when necessary. Using the power takes less skill, but just
as much strength of will as any mental discipline totally born of one's own
self."
