Although the several puddles of goo surrounding hm marked where more of those snail men had fallen, more were surrounding him and Magebane's arm was growing numb from excertion. That plus the fact that since he was in melee' he couldn't cast a spell (good idea of PW's, he should have thought of that). He parried another strike and then swiped the creature across tghe front. It to witherd into a a mess. Inside the inn, Aramus saw what Meshtak was doing and though of it as a pretty good idea.
