HHHEEEYYYY!!!" Angus' head jerked violently up from the pillow. "Whut!" he screamed. Cahn't I even get some sleep withoot bein' yelled at?!" Angus looked around, there was no one in the room. "Shiet! It's that damn voice again." "Get out on deck," the voice calmly replied. "Whut forr?" "What do you mean what for?! Ther's a pirate ship attacking, you idiot!" "Doon't call me an idiot, ya stupid haggis!" "Stop arguing and get out on deck!" "Awlright, I whill." Angus got up and quickly wrapped his kilt around his waist. Next he threw on his coat of plates. "Isn't that going to hurt without a gambison." "I ain't got tihme fer paddin' noow!" Angus grabbed his bow and ran up on deck. The damage was worse than he expected. There were bodies everywhere. He wanted to help but he couldn't. He had no talent as a healer. Angus couldn't see blood on any of the victims, it had to have been magic. Angus looked about for the best place to set up. One mast was down but the other remained intact. Angus cut a length of rope from the fallen mast, looped it around the other, and tied the ends together. He then stepped through and pulled it up so he could sit in it. he flipped the other end of the rope up the mast and then climbed up a few feet. He continued this until he was well above the action. "Very ingenious," the voice complimented. "It's noothin'. I used t' be a woodsman. From 'ere I can get a bairds eye view." Angus reached to his waist and pulled out his axe. With a hard swing he embeded it into the mast, just below his feet. He then readied his bow. Using the axe to help hold him up, he leaned out to the side of the mast and tried to find a target. Soon he had one. It had to be the leader. He was looking through a spyglass and giving orders to other pirates. Angus drew the bow and took careful aim. He let the arrow fly. Just as he did another pirate stepped up to receive orders, apparently unaware of his impending death. Angus didn't even bother to keep looking. Any man who had become a captain of pirates would never allow the same attack twice. "Hoow can I stop them?" Angus thought aloud. "Take out their sail?" suggested the voice. "Whut can mye arrows do against their....wait." "What....What!" Angus took careful aim, ignoring the voice. He could see the rope. He could feel the rope. He was the rope. He released the arrow and it flew true to its course. The arrow hit its target. The rope holding the sail was starting to give. Angus readied another arrow and let it go. The arrow struck, the rope broke, and the sail fell. "Good shot!" yelled the voice "Shut up!" replied Angus. Angus then began to look for another target. He noticed one of his new "Friends" was trying to help the wounded. Who was it? Bronwen? He began to fire arrows on the pirates closing in on his friend. He knew he couldn't stay there long. He would be a sitting target. But he had to protect his friend. Admin: Angus will stay up on the mast as long as possible, giving bow support. If attacked from below he will jump out of the mast. He knows it will hurt but at least it gives him a chance. Angus Sutherland aka Bruce -I'm stressed and I love it.
